About

December 12, 2006

I am married with children and currently reside in Pennsylvania. I really enjoy theology and textual studies. I have a Doctor of Theology from Mt. Carmel Institute of Biblical Studies. I adhere to reformed theology and love reading from the early reformers like Calvin, Turretin, and others. I finally earned my Doctor of Divinity through a Reformed seminary!!! It’s The North American Reformed Seminary.

    Merry Christmas, Larry.

I am thankful we met in cyber space and look forward to glorifying God together one day.

  2. theologian Says:

    Amen Josh.

    Merry Christmas to you too.

I have met some wonderful Christians in cyberspace. I have loved our discussions via blogs, it has been a great blessing to me.

May we work to bring much glory to God as we contemplate and discuss theology together.

    Larry and Josh…

Can’t echo that enough…surprised how much healthy discussion has happened regarding the blogosphere. This sharpens us more than I think we will know until we meet our Lord face to face.

    Merry Christmas

  4. theologian Says:

    Seth,

I like how you put it…”healthy discussion.”

Even though some of us disagree on a number of theological points, recognizing that we are brothers in Christ helps us to speak in His grace.

We may at times make strong statements because our faith is strong, but as far as i can tell we have never broken out into a diatribe.

  5. Josh Says:

You mean, “you” disagree. Right :-)

  6. theologian Says:

I disagree with Josh, but i haven’t really disagreed with Green Baggins or Gomarus. That’s why i put some of us disagree on theological points. And i have disagreed with more than Josh, i’ve also disagreed with David from Covenant Corner a few times.

Interestingly, the points that i disagree with David on i probably agree with Josh on (eg: paedocommunion). So it gets a little confusing.

  7. Kymanika Says:

    I agree….I think?.!

  8. theologian Says:

    Josh,

    Do you agree…
    that it gets confusing
    or
that when i disagree with David i agree with you
    or
that i disagree with you on some theological issues
    or
that i haven’t really disagreed with Green Baggins or Gomarus

I am starting to get confused 8O

  9. Kymanika Says:

Gomarus is a Baptist, now how confused is ya, that you don’t disagree with him.

  10. theologian Says:

And yet he has never argued against my sagacious paedobaptism posts. I have to assume that i have converted him, of course. ;)

  11. kymanika Says:

You doooooo know what assume means? ;-)

  12. theologian Says:

Good point. Let’s change the “assume” to “presume”

  13. Kymanika Says:

Is everything ok? Didnt see ya today. Of, course I realize we all have real lives outside of blogging :-)

  14. theologian Says:

Yes, i’m good. Thanks for asking.

I normally post when i am doing much reading. I have been so busy with work the past few days that i haven’t really had time to do my normal reading, so i haven’t done my normal blogging. Hopefully i will be back on spot next week :)

  15. Kymanika Says:

Ok, I was just concerned for you and your family. Your silence was unusual to me :-)

  16. theologian Says:

    I appreciate that.

It is important that we look out for each other in the body of Christ. Especially when our fellowship is via cyberspace. It makes it more difficult to tell when there is a problem or not.

For all you know i could have been depressed, offended, angry, or something terrible could have happened in my life.

Thanks for looking out for me brother.

  17. Kymanika Says:

Thats what we are here for :-)
